Well, I’m back in Africa, and the good thing is the weather is beautiful and the sun is shining. The clouds are spectacular. And that’s about all the positive things I can think of in my 4-hours of sleep stupor. I’ll be better tomorrow :o).
The trip was so unbelievably bad, I don’t even want to get into here, but instead I’d thought I’d sum up the past few weeks, and really the past 10 months in Cambodia with numbers.
40 is the number of flights I will have taken by the time I get home to the US in June for home leave.
95% is the number of people in Cambodia who don’t have electricity.
40 is the number of degrees (in celcius) it was in Cambodia yesterday.
18 is the number of degrees (in celcius) it is in Nairobi today.
4 is the number of bags I came to Cambodia with.
5 is the number of bags I left Cambodia with.
3 is the number of zeros in the price for my overweight baggage.
$200 is the cost of my rent in Cambodia.
$80 a month is the cost of my electric bill there each month.
$80 a month was the cost of my electric bill in Cambodia the month I was in Kenya…
7 is the number of friends and family who’ve come to visit me so far.
4 is the number of friends and family still planning to visit me before December.
2000 is the number of photos I took in Vietnam the past two weeks.
4000+ is the number of photos I’ve taken since I’ve arrived in Cambodia.
2 is the number of lenses I’ve acquired since I’ve arrived in Cambodia.
and…
54 is the number of days till I go home for a visit!
